This year hasn’t gone as we had all planned. Many of you had weddings planned or were in the midst of the planning only to be thwarted by the lockdown restrictions. Some of you may have gone ahead and tied the knot regardless, and are now left wishing you could celebrate with your family and friends. I am here to say you still can!Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!
There are a number of things you can do from the comfort of your own home to plan for a post-elopement/post-wedding party, all of which are quarantine-friendly.
Pick a date
Maybe it’s an online live-streamed event in 2020 (everyone’s social calendars are pretty open), or maybe it’s an in-person event in 2021 (better book quick). Either way, you need to pick a date and start booking vendors.
Send out invites
Whether you create a virtual invite yourself or have invites printed and sent via snail mail, your post-elopement/post-wedding event is sure to be added to your guest’s diary. It might be good to link to an online wedding website to provide details to your guests (and helps if you need to make changes to the party plans).
Plan your post-elopement/post-wedding party
The rule book has been thrown out the window with COVID so go ahead and throw your post-elopement/post-wedding party the way you want! Re-say your vows, eat some cake, have your first dance (hint, hint, we know a great wedding MC DJ who does events in Melbourne and Yarra Valley).
Thinking of an online/live-streamed event?
No problem! We are able to provide wedding MC and DJ services for your party. With 15 years of on-air radio DJ experience, Mark at Black Tie Events will have your guests grooving in their living rooms in no time.
Don’t let 2020 ruin your plans. Plan your dream Melbourne wedding and lock in all the details when things are back to normal, or our ‘new normal’ as the case may be.
Mark and the team at Black Tie Events would love to be your Melbourne wedding MC DJ and get the dance floor filled with all those who you’ve been missing while in isolation. If you have any questions, give them a call on 0400 447 552 to discuss your future wedding plans – or send an inquiry for an online appointment.
