PPCA LICENSE

Some DJ's do not even know what a PPCA license is. The license is a legal requirement to allow music to be played publicly. The revenue collected from licenses forms part of the royalties distributed to the performers. If your DJ does not have a PPCA license there is a risk of fines and the equipment can be turned off during your function.

It is important that we support all of our local talent through the sharing of royalties. Ask to see a copy of your DJ's PPCA License.

PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE

It is important that your DJ company is also covered for Public Liability in the case of accidents to your guests, or equipment failure. We currently have insurance cover for $10 million. Ask to see a copy of your DJ's insurance.

CD BURNING

Our standard business policy is NOT to accept Compact Discs that have been burnt. Some clients offer to supply CDs in case a required song is not in our library. These are most welcome but any supplied CDs must be the originals or legally obtained downloads from iTunes or similar sources recorded in cda (CD Audio) format – NOT mp3 or mp4. Using pirated copies is illegal and they do not always work.
