Black Tie events’ Mark Girdwood was there when it all started in the mid 70s, DJing the inner Melbourne pubs and clubs after taking a break from his audio career at HSV Channel 7, where he’d been working on audio on variety TV shows, drama and on air presentation. In the early 80s, Mark branched into commercial radio broadening his skills, working both on air and programming music. Mark’s 15 year on air radio career included amongst other great radio stations Melbourne’s AM “Hot Hit” 3XY.
